Lightning in a Bottle Heads to Buena Vista Lake for Colorful and Creative 20th Anniversary Festival

Lightning in a Bottle is back for another year of unique visual experiences and music encouraged by creative expression along with eco-sustainability.

The colorfully distinct festival held by The Do LaB will be held at California’s Buena Vista Lake this year which is about 113 miles north of Los Angeles as a six-day event from May 24-29. The area around the lake is decorated with amazing sculptures and creative lighting like nothing you’ve seen before which gives a wonderland/dream-like feel. Lightning in a Bottle is also a very social-able event where everyone is motivated to get to know each other, free themselves. and respect the grounds.

Lightning in a Bottle is “designed, built, and curated based on sustainability, harm reduction, and cultural respect.” And all artists on board this year align magically with this culture. The lineup is nothing less than incredible with big-name artists that are on point with the overall vibe. Lightning in a Bottle described the lineup as after 20 years it has led the festival to be able to have the biggest, most eclectic array of artists it ever assembled.

This includes Tale of Us who is on fire currently with their genre-altering Afterlife events, along with vibe masters Zhu and Rezz, Liquid Stranger, and LSDREAM for the psychedelic beats, amazing duo Sofi Tucker, Caribou, Tobe Ngwigwe, Diplo, Purple Disco Machine, LP Globbi, Ameme, Cassian, and dozens more. This year’s Lightning in a Bottle festival also accounts for its 20th anniversary which is bound to bring some extra surprises. But you can for sure expect to see the three iconic stages called Lightning, Thunder and Woogie.

The festival is much more than just a music event and wants to encourage healthy lifestyles and all types of creative expression. On top of the incredible tunes, Lightning in a Bottle also will be offering different creative sections to hang out at. This includes the Artclave which will have artsy activities to engage in like making upcycled wind chimes, how to draw faces, expression through fibers, create a clay pinch pot, body as a canvas, flow state drawing, aura portraits, and more. The lake is also a huge part of the event where people can spend the day at.

Another section is the Learning Kitchen which will offer courses like magical plant medicine elixirs, food as love, taco theory & anatomy, chai demystified, fermented foods, making magical mushrooms, moon cycle nutrition, and more. Food is a huge part of life and these courses are meant to educate and inform attendees about some of its medicinal properties. When Lightning in a Bottle first released its statement announcing this year’s festival, it highlighted that it can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude to have a positive impact on its community over the years.
