Snoop Dogg and Destructo Join Forces for Legendary New Single “You Only Die Once”

Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg and longtime producer Destructo are teaming up for their new track, “You Only Die Once,” fusing electronic music and hip-hop for a notable single.

Destructo is collaborating with legendary rapper Snoop Dogg for their track, “You Only Die Once,” the successor to Destructo and Chris Lake’s house track, “Y.O.D.O.” The single starts strong with kicking drums and bass-heavy house beats. Snoop Dogg’s iconic flow is layered over hip-hop-influenced instrumentals, creating an evolved version of the original.

Keyboard melodies and synths come together with a pulsating rhythm that surrounds the rapper’s chill tone. The focal lyric, “You only die once, Y.O.D.O,” gets the message of the track across. It is a banging fusion of electronic music and hip-hop with two incredibly influential artists that have been implementing themselves in the culture for decades.

Destructo began his DJing career in the 1990s before founding HARD, an event and festival brand that has helped grow electronic music in the United States for almost two decades. In 2017, Snoop Dogg played at his brand’s festival, HARD Summer. With particular levels of respect in the industry for both artists, it was only a matter of time before they teamed up.

As two of the most impactful artists in electronic music and hip-hop respectively, Destructo and Snoop Dogg coming together are monumental for both genres. Destructo helped further the G-house movement by working with popular rappers like Kevin Gates and YG in the mid-2010s.

Following the release of their collaboration, Destructo is playing headlining shows in Chicago and San Fransisco before heading to Summer of Sound, Shambhala Music Festival, and The Annual Campout Arts & Music Festival.
