Porter Robinson’s Fiancée Rika Mikuriya Discusses Future Plans to Sing on his Tracks

Porter Robinson’s fiancée Rika Mikuriya teased that if her vocals show up in his tracks “if it happens it happens” but didn’t give any direct answers.

Fans of the couple asked Rika Mikuriya on Instagram questions when Robinson will bring her vocals back into his music and she did give a straight answer, but it was also still up in the air. It does seem as if she would really love to if the moment is right, but surely with no pressure. The fiancée has recently made a major dedication to privacy and vocals may be a lot to take on within Robinson’s career.

Mikuriya said in response to the question: “I don’t plan on it! But if it happens, it happens. Maybe if he does another LoL thing or kingdom hearts?! Then I’ll beg him.” She is a huge fan of League of Legends and Robinson even commissioned digital art as a gift for her in 2020. Although Mikuriya may or may not be in Robinson’s tracks anytime soon, her presence in his music can be felt in multiple of his tracks through his inspiration from her and their relationship.

Robinson’s soul mate went missing from social media for a while but recently came back to explain her disappearance. Mikuriya said that she has been absent from posting because she and Robinson have been enjoying a more private life and is living her life now without a public IG. But her return was to ensure followers that everything is well, and she hopes the same for them also.

Her return only lasted a few days though, as she really only came back on her social media account to make the update about her privacy decision, along with sharing a bit from the couple’s trip to Japan. Mikuriya also did a q&a round where she gave an update on how she struggles with agoraphobia which is an anxiety disorder that commonly involves fear and avoidance of places or situations that may cause panic, helplessness, or embarrassment.

This has caused Mikuriya to have trouble keeping up with some of the chaoticness of traveling and music tours related to Robinson’s career. Her decision to stay off social media is sad, but also understandable, especially for someone who has a famous DJ and producer as their fiancé along with her anxiety. Now, Mikuriya has officially deleted her Instagram until future notice. Wishing Mikuriya and Robinson all the peace and love in their future!

I remember hearing Edm for the first time and thinking I knew this type of music would change my life. The excitement, happiness, and connection it embraced really spoke to my soul early on and has always pulled me back somehow. I have a major appreciation for all genres and the art that goes behind making music. As a journalist, I also love diving into the stories/magic behind the music, artists, and festivals. You can catch me dancing to a wide range of tunes.
