KLOUD Drops Career-Defining Hard Techno EP ‘BLACK’

The illusive yet show-stopping DJ and producer announced what could be the most pivotal moment in their career, a new hard techno EP called ‘BLACK.’ 

KLOUD has been in the spotlight in recent years due to their keen ability to fuse classic electronic beats with contemporary production principles. Armed with finesse in the studio, the artist draws on the darker elements of house and techno to solidify their brand. KLOUD is also known for incorporating electro and analog synthesizers into their sound, truly creating a unique atmosphere that’s difficult to find elsewhere. 

After years of building the KLOUD brand, it’s apparently time for something new. The artist revealed the cryptic message, “THIS IS THE LAST TIME YOU’LL SEE ME THIS WAY” on March 10, leaving fans guessing in the comments below what this note could mean. Some guessed a new album or new merch, while others prepared for an entirely new KLOUD. The caption read “3.24” indicating the news would arrive on that date.

Just ahead of the big day on March 24, the artist revealed another clue about the shift, which offered more information about the changes to come. The caption read, “KLOUD. An ever evolving project… created as an artistic expression free from expectations and boundaries. I present to you, The next chapter… BLACK.”

The mysterious post included an ominous, hard techno-driven video. The images in the video depicted a masked character, similar to the one fans have come to associate with KLOUD. Finally, on March 24, the following post was made:

As some may have guessed correctly, KLOUD’s big news is a brand new hard techno EP called ‘BLACK’ that includes four fresh tracks. However, it appears this is more than just a new music announcement, but a new chapter for KLOUD.

In the post, KLOUD refers to ‘BLACK’ as, “A hard techno EP showcasing my version of the sound I grew up on and feel attached to in a way I haven’t felt since the 90s.” Immerse yourself in ‘BLACK,’ the new KLOUD below:
