San Holo Celebrates 10 Years of Making Music

Hold your glasses in the air and cheers as we commemorate a decade of music creation with recording artist San Holo. 

San Holo takes a step back to recognize his ten-year contribution to the electronic dance music scene through his emotional musical expression. Sander van Dijck otherwise known as San Holo launched his career in 2013. On March 26th of that year, he released, Corellia, his debut EP. Next was his second EP, Demons. Since that time the future bass artist has created a plethora of music.

In the process, he’s made himself a household name in the dance community. This week he reminisced about his passion transmuting into a career via Instagram. “Wow… I started san holo in 2013… I just realized I’ve been doing this for 10 years now 🤍,” the caption began. Throughout the years working with various artists Midnight Kids, James Vincent Morrow, and The Nicholas to name a few. 

He continued, “still to this day I feel like making music is the only way to truly express myself.” Moreover, a true achievement to attain within a career progression. “I feel very grateful for all of you who have somehow connected to a song, a sound, a lyric, a melody of mine… music is such a sacred thing,” the post read on. The aptitude music can have on a person to a community is remarkable. 

Without a doubt, music frequency has a healing property, not just for the composer but the listener as well. San Holo dug even deeper with more insight. “I make music to express deep emotions. I put these emotions in every single sound. That’s why whenever people enjoy my music, it feels like a very personal connection.” From music creation to the album to the listener, to the live performance, the circle is complete. 

In mid-February San Holo announced a 15-date tour, Don’t Look Down DJ Set, commencing April 7th in Phoenix, Arizona. Of course, continuing his mission to connect with his fans more personally. The U.S. tour runs through June and will include a brand new set of existential dance music. In addition, tickets are currently on sale, don’t miss out and lock them down. 

In brief, his initial IG post went on to express the “magical and beautiful,” planes created by the way of music. San Holo’s grateful heart went on to thank all the people along the way. Undoubtedly, the last decade has impacted his life greatly.
