Flosstradamus loves mushrooms and you should too!
This is a new era, a time unbeknownst to the EDM community, ripe with opportunities to branch out and become so much more than just a DJ. Many artists are doing interesting things in their creative orbits, tricks, and flips devoid of turn tables and raving. People are pioneering new ways of thinking, experiencing art, investing in the democratization of capital, furthering the digitization of fan experiences, and even championing new health initiatives. And to no one’s surprise, Flosstradamus is one of those interesting guys doing interesting things.
Flosstradamus recently took to Instagram to exclaim, “BIG TINGS POPPIN!” He proceeded to plug his new trap gods b2b featuring long-time collaborator and friend Yellow Claw, before revealing his other, more novel, project. “[I’m excited to share] the debut of my mushroom-based nootropics company [Mindhoney.co] that I’ve been part of for a while!”
Essentially, he’s launching a health and wellness supplement titled “Dose” that pumps the gas on recent discoveries pertaining to mushrooms and their health benefits. For those unfamiliar with the new developments in research regarding mushrooms, the long-short refers to what ancient medicinal/shamanistic practices have been touting for millenniums: mushrooms can boost the immune system, improve the microbiome (i.e. gut health), and maybe even incite neurogenesis.
When scrolling through the supplement’s webpage, its mantra feels candid and thoughtful. “Our goal at Mindhoney is simple… Optimize mental performance and celebrate the brain’s creativity,” professes the page. “Through lifestyle-enhancing products, we aim to fuel the innovators, thinkers, and creators with tools trusted to help them accomplish their goals. Mindhoney strives to stay focused on living at the intersection between creativity, cognition, and community…”
The ingredients for “Dose” by Mindhoney are, for the most part, pronounceable and simple: medicinal mushrooms (lion’s mane, reishi, cordyceps, chaga), adaptogenic herbs (L-theanine, ashwagandha, rhodiola rosea), nootropics (N-acetyl L-tyrosine, DMAE bitartrate, bacopa monnieri), green tea extract, and vitamins B3 and B6.
