Claptone Launches New Label ‘Golden Recordings’
Claptone launches ‘Golden Recordings’, a new record label from the German DJ and producer.
The masked man is growing larger and into new territories that will celebrate house music in this golden era. Claptone launches ‘Golden Recordings‘, which will revel in the strong roots of house music and keep an open mind to bring in new sounds every day.
With a new single “Euphoria” dropping next Friday, March 17th, Claptone describes the song as, “intensely exciting, highly contagious, and pure bliss.” This single will start off the new label as a full instrumental club track, unlike the vocal-heavy productions he’s been releasing recently.
Appearing in a golden-beaked mask that looks like a plague doctor and white gloves, the Berlin DJ is known for his house and tech house genres. By having this mask on at all times, his identity is hidden from the public. This has caused fans to believe that there are up to three people behind the mask of Claptone.
Over the past eight years, Claptone has dropped three artist albums including ‘Charmer’ (2015), ‘Fantast’ (2018), and ‘Closer’ (2021). Enigmatic DJ and producer Claptone created an eccentric event concept called The Masquerade. This event is where he performs his biggest hits across stages in Australia, North and South America, London, Paris, multiple seasons at Pacha Ibiza, and many more areas.
Claptone takes his DJ and music producer abilities into a podcast called Clapcast, amassing over 397 episodes so far. In these episodes are hour-long DJ sets that transport the listener to a place of sonic delights, with a mix designed to enchant outside the club.
With over four million monthly listeners on Spotify, Claptone is able to amass such success through his anonymity and entrancing beats. To check out an exclusive preview of the song, click on the YouTube link below to get a taste of Claptone’s upcoming single.
