Anyma and Cassian Team Up for Explosive Remix of Jimi Jules’ “My City’s On Fire”

Anyma & Cassian released a highly anticipated remix of Jimi Jules’ “My City’s On Fire” with RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Ave Records.
“My City’s On Fire” was one of EDM’s most popular dance music tracks in 2022. Cassian is a mixer, producer, and DJ, mainly in melodic house and techno genres. Anyma is a multi-disciplinary music & contemporary fine art project created by Tale Of Us’ founding member Matteo Milleri. They have come together to bring this hypnotic track which is a beautiful display of their chemistry together.
Anyma and Cassian’s remix is an upbeat track that uses percussion, distorted vocal samples, and a pulsing bassline mixed into some subtle melodic elements for depth and complexity. It is described as emotive, textured, euphoric, and true artistry by both artists. Cassian first started playing “My City’s On Fire” at his live shows in August 2022. He dropped it at his set at Sydney’s Harbourlife in Australia.
The track was inspired by the first day Anyma and Cassian met. They explained in the press release they immediately got the urge to start working right away. This led to them quickly creating an instrumental track they both liked, and only a few weeks later they were sent the vocals which just so happened to fit perfectly. Cassian then instantly started playing it at shows and it has now become a most requested song.
The two artists have been long fans of each other’s work and the collaboration came naturally to them. Cassian caught Anyma’s attention with his audio engineering work with RÜFÜS DU SOL along with his original productions. Anyma is the half of Tale Of Us which is known for its Afterlife events. Carmine Conte is the other half of the Tale of Us duo.
Afterlife events mostly play melodic house and techno music and are known for their stimulating tunes and mind-altering visuals. The events recently have become beloved for their different take on festivals which has more of a healing/unity feel and inspiration. They are meant to open up your mind but also are perfect to daze off from your everyday struggles.
