LUZCID Continues ‘Illusions’ Journey with Part 2 EP

LUZCID is in his zone right now. After wrapping up 2022 on a colossal high with the release of ‘Illusions, Pt. 1,’ the Houston-based DJ and producer is back with its sequel EP. The new record is just as dreamy as its first installment and is guaranteed to make you drift off further into space. With ‘Illusions, Pt. 2’ now at our disposal, the package is finally complete!

The five-track record is classic LUZCID — vivid, enchanting and impossible to ignore. With another contribution from Misdom on the opening track, the new release is an experience more than just a body of music. LUZCID has been performing across the country since late January. The Illusions Tour will continue into next month, and with the new EP now out, fans are in for a treat. The shows features the work of visual artist DATA BYTE exhibited parallel to and in sync with the music, adding another dimension to the DJ’s craft. 

“I loved the connection between the crowd and the musician,” LUZCID said about what motivates him to create music and perform it. “As soon as I decided that I needed to do this, I got the words ‘Passion’ and ‘Persistence’ tattooed across both sides of my ribcage from top to bottom. My thought was, if I ever quit music, I’d be a walking hypocrite…and I would never let that happen. With Passion and Persistence, you can achieve anything.”

What makes LUZCID unique is his genuine love for music and those who feel as passionately about it as he does. This is evident in his work as well as the range of artists he collaborates with. On his current tour, he chose not to bring along a famous opening act and has instead been using his platform to elevate local artists who’re on the rise. 

The Illusions Tour, in addition to showcasing LUZCID’s extraordinary catalog, includes performances by lesser-known yet highly talented artists from every city on the itinerary.
