Echoland Music Festival Cancels Inaugural Year At Suwannee

Live Nation & C3’s Echoland Music Festival is officially canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

On March 3, Echoland Music Festival announced it will no longer be taking place this year. The festival stated it was due to “unforeseen circumstances” that it couldn’t resolve. The festival was set to host its first-ever edition at Live Oak, Florida’s, Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Echoland was supposed to run from May 11 through 13, 2023.

When the festival was first announced, an official statement read, “Echoland will highlight a wide range of local and national jam bands, folk, and indie artists, including various art installations and experiences throughout the park.”

The festival included a stacked lineup that had potential attendees raving about it for weeks. Performers included Tyler Childers presenting an Echoland exclusive magical collaborative set, Vulfpeck, and Phil Lesh & Friends, alongside Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Tenacious D, and many more.

While all the hype of the festival was looming in the air, it eventually came to a complete stop. The festival’s socials including Instagram and Twitter are not active at this time. The official website included the following statement, “While we have done everything we can do to bring our wild & wonderful world to the banks of the Suwannee River, we have encountered some unforeseen circumstances that we cannot overcome. Tickets purchased from Front Gate Tickets will be automatically refunded in as little as 30 days.”

As for the fans that were ultimately looking forward to the weekend, there’s been some speculation going on about the reason for the cancellation. Some fans think that it was due to high-tier ticket prices, and poor festival organization.

Other upcoming events on the Suwannee grounds include Suwannee Spring Reunion, Resonate Suwannee, and Suwannee River Jam. Be sure to stay up-to-date with the venue as they announce future shows and festivals.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
