Duckworthsound and Dread MC Drop Collab Compilation on Bijou’s DND Records

Duckworthsound and Dread MC curate a sonically diverse compilation in their latest collaboration, ‘DND Connection’ out on DND Records.

London-based DJ producer Duckworthsound and Bristol-based Dread MC have unveiled their latest refreshing collaboration, ‘DND Connection’ on DND Records. Out on March 3, the compilation album audibly boasts atmospherically entrancing production elements that embody an infectious feel-good energy throughout.

Featuring 10 intoxicating tracks, this compilation also represents a shared musical vision that Duckworthsound and Dread MC shared as they curated a dynamic offering for the listeners. with 9 original tracks from promising tastemakers like Kyogre, Albzzy, Cheery-O, Annick, and more, each track stays true to the artist’s quintessential sound while reaching epic sonic heights.

Going back to the roots of UK dance music as a culture, Duckworthsound shared the process behind the birth of the record, “I spent a couple of months away from my productions just to clear my head and come back with some fresh ideas – when I finally sat back down to produce I must have sat there for 10-14 hours at a time just getting lost in productions and new ideas for days on end.”

One of the stand out track, “Lose Yourself” encapsulates the essence of a driving rhythm and commanding vocal cut. Dread MC, Duckworthsound, and AK RENNY deliver a swagger-doused anthem that takes the listeners on a thrilling journey. AK Renny describes the significance behind the single, “After getting in touch with Duckworth and Dread MC, we came up with the idea of incorporating two different vocalists (one female and American, one male and English) in a call-and-response-like style over a UK bass-line track. The lyrics describe the desire to have more nights of partying and raving, while also losing yourself to the nightlife.”
