John Summit Drops Long-Awaited New Single “Where You Are” With Hayla

Chicago’s John Summit has released a new collaborative single titled “Where You Are” with UK artist Hayla.

John Summit is the ultimate tease, but one with great marketing skills. He’s been on a steady rise since 2017, yet he hasn’t released a full-length studio album till now. With countless singles and EPs to his name, the majority of which have been widely successful, he continues to build momentum by putting out limited cuts from his vault.

When the album finally drops, it’s going to be a massive climax. Till then, we have to play along with what we get. Today, the prodigy from Chicago has released a new single titled “Where You Are” with UK vocalist Hayla and it’s a dream! Seconds into the track, you’re bound to feel an instant connection with your soul, and it feels as though the track was designed to trigger that exact response.

Summit said the following about the new release: “When I first premiered ‘Where You Are’ at the LA Coliseum, I was absolutely stunned by the reaction it received and I knew right away this track would be something special. Every time I play it out it’s easily the most powerful track in my sets and I truly feel like it’s my best record to date.”

Hayla shared her thoughts on it as well: “This track encapsulates the feeling of longing. When you’re alone at night tossing and turning wondering about the other person and if they’re alone, or with someone else, or missing you, unable to sleep too. Hoping that your bond is strong enough to pull you back together and wondering if they ever feel as good alone or with someone else as they do when they’re with you. The deep down feeling … I wanna be where you are.”

Summit previously remixed Hayla’s 2022 dance hit with Kaskade and deadmau5 (Kx5), “Escape.” Their chemistry became apparent when said rendition became a live favorite among fans of electronic dance music, and with that, the idea of a direct collaboration was born. Summit has been testing “Where You Are” at recent shows and the crowd response has been just as great as their previous hit. It’s a relief to finally have legal access to the song!

You can certainly expect to catch “Where You Are” at Summit’s upcoming shows. With a string of international dates soon to be announced, so far he is scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza South American tour, Creamfields and a headlining gig at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in May. His ascension into space has been swift and we’re here for it!
