YOOKiE Pairs Up with Hydraulix for Trippy Dubstep Bop “Game Over”
YOOKiE and Hydraulix collaborate on a trippy dubstep track entitled “Game Over,” through the label WAKAAN. Released February 10th, 2023, it is Hydraulix’s first drop of the year.
Fans have been looking forward to this collaboration for months. Hydraulix is an accomplished Australian producer who has played festivals such as Bass Canyon and Electric Zoo NYC and collaborated with Grammy-winning producer Nitti Gritti and iconic dubstep producer Doctor. “Game Over,” released February 10th, is Hydraulix’s first drop of 2023.
About his new track “Game Over,” Hydraulix says, “This tune has been one of my gate kept dubplates for some time now. It’s a hype club record that never fails to get a great crowd reaction. The YOOKiE boys and myself are super pumped to finally have GAME OVER drop and can’t wait to see you turning up to it live!”
In collaboration, New York natives and rapidly growing bass act YOOKiE find their musical inspiration from the feelings of ecstasy and energy, describing their sound as “the art within the artificial.” Embraced by their contemporaries such as Sullivan King and Wooli, and have played some of the biggest bass music stages in North America including EDC Las Vegas and Lost Lands.
YOOKiE said about the new track with Hydraulix, “Super hype to finally get this tune out. Was a such pleasure working with the homie Hydraulix. Expect some more collabs from us in the future.”
The collaboration between the artists was highly anticipated. EDM fans might recognize the sound from live festivals over the summer where it garnered major crowd reactions.
The electronic bop boasts sound effects and an outer-worldly, slow-buildup feeling of fleeing. And once this feeling surpasses, much like its title, the track morphs into that a riveting game simulation with distorted voices. Listen to the track here!
