ILLENIUM to “Take Break” From Music After Self-Titled Album and World Tour

The keenly awaited self-titled album from ILLENIUM has materialized in conjunction with a world tour but a sabbatical is desired after. 

ILLENIUM has unmasked plans to embark on a global tour in support of his self-titled album. The Illinois-born DJ has crusaded his way within the music realm. 2008 marked the start of his career as he began producing electronic music. Since then he has compiled four full-length studio albums, a slew of singles, and EPs. Not to mention his first Grammy nomination for his fourth album, ‘Fallen Embers.’ 

Following the tour announcement, ILLENIUM tweeted, “ILLENIUM will take a break after this album and tour ❤️‍?.” This raised concerns with fans concerning his future in music. A fan remarked, “As silly as this sounds, does this mean the “end” of Illenium though? As in, you’d explore other avenues of your music career?” ILLLENIUM replied with genuine sentiments about his thought process and current reality.

“I’ll def be taking a break after this album and tour,” he began. Life on tour after a year can be quite grueling. He went on, “I’m putting everything I’ve got into this next phase and will absolutely need a change of pace after it’s done.” Considering he will be performing in North America, Europe, and Australia. Then concluding, “Not sure what’s to come honestly just trying to focus on the present.”

Nevertheless, his ambition at the current moment has not slowed down in the least. As he continues to embrace the here and now. His fifth LP, ‘ILLENIUM,’ is self-titled and scheduled to release on April 28th. The album is projected to be his utmost passionate and refined body of work to date. Then the following month his blockbuster tour commences on May 27th in George, WA at The Gorge

Illenium Break Album Tour

From May to July he will be traveling throughout the U.S., ending in his stretch in his home state of Illinois in Bridgeview at SeatGeek Stadium on July 22nd. Tickets are on sale now for the U.S. dates. Due to high demand a second night has been added for San Francisco. Next, in October he will continue his performances in a handful of cities in Europe. Then closes out the year down under in Australia.

The latest single from the album dropped this month on the 20th. The track, “Luv Me A Little,” features Nina Nesbitt, a nice snippet of what’s to come.
