Breaking News: Bassnectar Breaks Three Years of Silence with “Relive” Show Announcement

Despite his ongoing trial, Bassnectar is planning to make a big return with “The Other Side” project including a “Relive” show series.

After three years, Bassnectar has broken his silence on social media to wipe his Instagram and post a reel of what seems to signal his return to the electronic music scene. A video captioned, “…” shows a silhouette of a crowd cheering as the words “Bassnectar Relive” fades onto the screen.

Earlier last week an email was sent out from his team encouraging people to sign up to be a part of a new Bassnectar community called “The Other Side”. This concept is a digital world created for Bassnectar fans with all his work compiled into one space without the limitations or judgment of his current reputation.

The email describes this new space as “a direct outlet for imagination, as well as a centralized hub of transmission, interaction and nurturing for our community”. Along with his post today, Lorin dropped a link to “The Other Side” which fully details a 2-tier membership program for fans.

According to the website, Bassnectar is planning to create a mega-hub of all his work including every song, mixtape, live performance, and other content from his music career in one place. Freestyle members can sign up to gain access to Bassnectar updates and limited content. However, he is offering an “unlocked” membership at a cost that will guarantee access to unreleased music, behind-the-scenes-content, live events, podcasts, tickets for upcoming events, and songs on his upcoming album rumored to be coming on Valentine’s Day.

In addition, Lorin is offering access to “Bassnectar Relive” where once a month, his team will stream an old set of his for “unlocked” members to watch. As of right now, no festivals or local venues are booking Bassnectar due to the intense controversy surrounding his case.

Ashton Lorin currently faces accusations of “Receipt and Possession of Child Pornography” and “Aggravated Statutory Rape,” according to court documents. Outside of this civil suit, several women came forward to share their stories of Lorin’s sexual misconduct.

The court case first began in April 2021 and only early last year did their lawyers begin the discovery process. The trial is still pending with no official date yet.

My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything.
