SXM Festival Taps CamelPhat, Gordo, Marco Carola and DJ Tennis B2B Carlita as Astra Club for 2023

Phase one of the sixth annual SXM Festival has been announced, with artists from around the world scheduled to perform at the five-day event on the Caribbean island of St. Martin.

Since debuting in 2016, SXM Festival has quickly become one of the world’s most exquisite celebrations of music and culture. Caribbean, French and Dutch influences converge on the island of St. Martin, the entirety of which is reserved for this EDM carnival once a year! This Spring, they’ll keep the party going and it’s going to be one for the books.

From March 8–12, SXM Festival will return to the Caribbean for its sixth installment. The event is scattered across beaches, villas, boats, and hilltops on the island, offering a range of cuisines and recreational explorations. With tickets scheduled to go on sale this Friday, the phase-one lineup has just been announced, with phase two set to follow at the end of the month. Check it out below:

The roster is topped by Grammy-nominated duo CamelPhat, multi-label guru Marco Carola, Iranian-American progressive house pioneer Dubfire and the Astra Club experience that comprises sets from DJ Tennis plus Carlita. In addition to Swiss heavyweight Sonja Moonear returning after her monumental set last year, Italian titan Francesca Lombardo, house honcho GORDO, and Brazilian sonic wizard Mochakk will all add their distinct flavors to the SXM 2023 card.

The bill has a far reach and its global influence immediately stands out. The lineup is ripe with creatives from around the world, namely AMÉMÉ from West Africa, Maher Daniel from Palestine, Apollonia and YokoO from France, Gene On Earth from Berlin, and Konstantin Sibold from Germany, who also co-founded the Common Sense People event series. It is apparent from this deep list of recruits that the island of St. Martin will be blossoming when it’s time for SXM season.

The event has made a name for itself by hosting a blend of underground talent and commercial sweethearts. The five-day/five-night escape this year will be no different — attendees will be positioned in that sweet spot right between global hits and experimental discovery. Put that against the backdrop of what is arguably among the world’s most scenic destinations and you’re in paradise!

The natural charm of St. Martin adds an irreplicable touch to SXM Festival. No other gathering is exclusive to an entire island, and for the better part of a week, attendees will have access to its hidden gems on and off the land. This isn’t just another music festival.
