Lee Foss Launches New Repopulate Mars Sub-Label: North of Neptune
Repopulate Mars founder Lee Foss has discovered yet another note in the scale of life calling on his new imprint North of Neptune.
Launching Repopulate Mars in 2016, house music maestro Lee Foss has created his orbit of cosmic sub-labels within the repopulate mars galaxy that is said to hold the mysterious keys of time and space. Upon the celestial adventure of 2023, Less Foss is expanding the Repopulate Mars galaxy with the eccentric sound of his new sub-label North of Neptune.
The house music vet describes the essence of Repopulate Mars’ new sublabel as “a sound that shimmers in the glow of raining liquid diamonds in the coolest, funkiest reaches of the known galactic funk hub…bringing smiles to all the cool cosmic cats”. Neptune is known to be the Roman god of waters and sea, who controlled winds and storms; sounds like the dude knows how to get jiggy with it.
The first artist set to unleash their light with the newly founded North of Neptune label will be house music producer Toby Simpson. The U.K based artist will be releasing a two-track EP named ‘Come Together’.
Fans are quick to wonder in the comments how the collective sound of the label will sound with extreme guesses ranging from minimal/ deep techno to maximal house. Indeed, Toby Simpson carries an edge built on an indistinguishable sound of oscillating sounds, piercing synths, and deep bass.
Over the years, Repopulate Mars has created a cutting-edge platform for house music artists searching for a home-based planet through the music of the cosmos. Galo, Dre Mendez, and Caleb Dent are a few of the earthly creative beings discovered by Foss’ sublabel South of Saturn, founded in 2019.
North of Neptune will take off for its first release this Friday, January 6th. The sub-label is currently accepting demos from house music artists via email: demos@repopulatemars.com
