Skrillex and Fred again..’s new track “Rumble” exploded with support from industry titans including Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Diplo, and more.
The long-awaited Boiler Room ID finally landed and captured the attention of the entire music industry. “Rumble” caught a whirlwind of attention from dozens of fans and artists on a short teaser clip ahead of the release. The highly anticipated single was released shortly after on Wednesday, Jan. 4, and features Flowdan for a hard-hitting set of vocals.
Skrillex’s Instagram post received an outpouring of positive comments from a wide variety of artists almost immediately. The supportive comments included phrases hyping them up like “let’s go,” “banger,” “delicious,” “fire,” and more. Some of the artists who showed “Rumble” some love on Skrillex’s teaser were Hardwell, Chris Lake, Steve Aoki, Kill The Noise, DJ Diesel, Troy Boi, Slushi, Wuki, and several others.
Fred again.. also posted a teaser for “Rumble” on his Instagram Monday and the track received a similar response from several artists… again. This is just another shining portrayal of how highly anticipated this track was from the start.
Ever since Fred again.. debuted the track in his iconic Boiler Room set, the entire electronic music community stirred with anticipation for its forthcoming release. There are some tracks where you “just know” even within only 10 seconds. Ever since the premiere of “Rumble” during the Boiler Room set, rumors of a new Skrillex album circled, especially when he was repeatedly seen in the studio with Fred.
“Rumble” demonstrates some of Skrillex’s usual hard-hitting sounds with a funky twist from Fred again.. and much-needed vocals from Flowdan. The new track accounts for Skrillex’s first release in months, making it extra highly anticipated.
Skrillex and Fred again.. have certainly sparked a cultural shift in the first few days of the year. With Skrillex’s next album looming and Fred again..’s popularity soaring, it’s safe to say this is not the last collaboration from this dynamic duo.
