Best House and Techno Sets of 2022

With the House and Techno popularity trending, here are our top House and Techno Sets to listen to from 2022.

Throughout 2022 the evolution of the top genre in electronic dance music took place. With festival headliners like Tiesto and Diplo performing repetitive four-on-the-floor beats mashed with a surprise of acid synths, house and techno took the top spot. With house and techno gaining popularity, it was only right to provide fans with the top sets of the year. Exron Music enjoyably listened to countless sets this year to provide you with this. Here are our favorite House and Techno sets of 2022 in no particular order.

John Summit – The Shrine, Los Angeles

Although John Summit performed stellar sets at nearly every event, his performance at The Shrine, Los Angeles is my personal favorite. John Summit performed two sold-out nights at the popular Los Angeles venue. The set was advertised to fans as his “darker extended” set and delivered just that. During his set, he mixes techno superstar Enrico Sangiuliano’s ‘The Sound of Space’ into his track ‘In Chicago’. This set is worthy of being one of the best house, but also techno sets for 2022 due to its seamless transitions into both genres. The set is linked here.

Patrick Topping – Creamfields Festival

Patrick Topping is a rare person to catch at events in the United States. So, whenever I am able to listen to a set from the TRICK label owner, I put it on repeat. During the set, his combination of nostalgic vocals of the decades mixed with high-tempo beats, his set brings an energetic feel to the dance floor. His tracks like ‘Shake My Booty’ visualized with the stellar design of Creamfields Festival make this a must-watch techno set in 2022. You can find the set linked here.

Tale of Us – Ultra Music Festival

2022 was a monumental year for melodic techno. So, who else would be the notable mention for the genre? Tale of Us, of course! The duo, Carmine Conte and Matteo Milleri,  performed numerous events for their label, Afterlife, at places like Brooklyn Mirage and Tomorrowland. But, personally, I can not get enough of their Ultra Music Festival set in 2022. The event kicked off as the first 2022 festival for the duo back in March. Also, with the combination of Ultra’s Resistance Stage and tracks like ‘Consciousness’ and ‘The Sign’, the set continues to give me goosebumps. Finally, earning a spot as one of the top techno sets of 2022. Listen to this masterpiece linked here.

Dom Dolla – Printworks, London

Dom Dolla, much like John Summit, had an enormous year as an artist in 2022. From headlining festivals to selling out venues across the world, he is a must-see artist. He had multiple sets recorded throughout 2022. Some include his sets from Brooklyn Mirage, EDC Kinetic Field, and Selected Sessions Belgrade. But, his latest release from his Printworks London earns a top spot for me. With the mesmerizing unreleased track by Dom Dolla and MK, ‘Rhythm Dust’ featured as well as the euphoric ‘Make It Happen’ Remix for Rufus Du Sol, this is a must-listen for Dom Dolla and house music fans alike. Jam out to the set here.

Charlotte De Witte & Hi-Lo – Tomorrowland Music Festival

Tomorrowland has always hosted big talent at their event. So, of course, sets from the event would be huge for the artists! These two artists performed unforgettable techno sets for us to get lost in. Charlotte de Witte brought her acidic dark beats to the main stage of Tomorrowland on Weekend 1. This made her the first techno artist to close out Tomorrowland‘s iconic mainstage. Also, making EDM history for women and techno alike. While Hi-Lo, an alias for popular DJ Oliver Heldens, made a name for himself in the techno world with his Atmosphere Stage set. Generally, both artists thrived this year! Charlotte de Witte continues her reign as the queen of techno. While Hi-Lo continues to grow his name as a techno artist. This makes both sets a top pick for 2022. The Hi-Lo set can be found here. While you can get to Charlotte’s set here.

This list could truly go on for days. So, here are some other honorable mentions for top sets you can listen to:

Eli Brown – Creamfields Festival

Adam Beyer – Awakenings Festival

Cloonee – (Sunrise Set) Club Space Miami

Enrico Sangiuliano – Awakenings Festival

Wade – Criterio Sevilla

2022 was just the beginning of the evolution of House and Techno. I hope you can enjoy getting lost in the sets mentioned above. I cannot wait to see what 2023 holds for these artists and even unknown artists who could earn a spot on this list next year!

I have been writing for Exron Music for around eight months now and cannot wait to see what is to come throughout the years. At festivals and clubs, you will find me at any house and techno stage supporting my favorites Eli Brown or Dom Dolla, or belting every word to Porter Robinson tracks wherever he performs.
