John Summit Finds Out His Own NYE Show Got Canceled on Twitter

John Summit will not be playing NYE in Sacramento and people are rioting in the streets of Twitter.

Former accountant and DJ daddy John Summit took to Twitter to express dismay at the bizarre cancellation of his NYE show in Sacramento. Rather than the venue reaching out to cancel properly, John first heard of the cancelation via a public statement released on Instagram.

“With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that due to heavy rain we will be canceling NYE with John Summit.” The venue went on to express its sincere condolences. “We can’t in good conscience expect attendees to endure the elements. We have tried to find an indoor venue that can accommodate this event but we have [run] into brick walls. We are extremely disappointed and we [apologize] for any inconvenience this may have caused you. After many fans expressed outrage, the venue turned off comments on the post. Boo, hiss.

The statement also stipulated that all ticketholders would receive full refunds via Dice and to expect said refund after January 3rd. Unfortunately for John, he already paid for and exercised the PJ to Sacramento – there would be no refund for that expense.

Scrambling to reassemble plans, John Tweeted, “I’m so pissed lmao. Since when does rain cancel shows?? How [did] this not go [through] me or my teams first?? I already paid for a jet to get there in time for this lol. This is crazy. [I] will do whatever I can to make it up for [you] Sacramento.” The struggle bus, or in this case the struggle private jet, was real.

On a more serious note, many fans on Twitter speculated that the show was canceled for unknown, veiled reasons. A fan posted a screenshot of the original ticket disclaimers, which clearly outlined that the “event [was] outdoors, rain or shine.” In the court of public opinion, two plus two did not equal four!

Luckily enough, Kaskade recently announced via Twitter that he will be playing NYE in San Francisco with a newly-added special guest, none other than John Summit. It’s not Sacramento, but not a bad place to land. See ya in the New Year, queens!

Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
