Listen to GRiZ and Zeds Dead’s Colossal Collaboration ‘Ecstasy of the Soul’

Followers are elated by the monumental news that GRiZ and Zeds Dead are working together after hints on social media. 

GRiZ and Zeds Dead have been alluding to a musical partnership on their socials, and guess what it’s true. Fans have been anticipating this creative joint effort from these two highly regarded performers. The two adored EDM acts have been playing DJ sets together for some time now. Recently they’ve decided to amp it up a notch. 

Last week on December 7th, GRiZ replied,” ya, @zeadsdead?,” to an initial tweet from Zeds Dead, ” ? @Griz?” and the speculation began. It all started when Zeds Dead’s label Deadbeats tweeted, “what is something people are not ready to hear?” This ignited the conversation, piquing followers’ interest in what these two artists are concocting. 

One follower replied to GRiZ’s tweet, “I’ll be just existing and this phrase randomly pops in my head all the time. Takes me back to space camp every time. Can’t wait for the official release!” Another fan replied, “FINALLY,” clearly this has been floating around in everyone’s mind. Moreover, this collaboration has been building momentum and we are here for it. 

Nonetheless, in the last 48 hours GRiZ and Zeds Dead, simultaneously posted the same image of the duo on their Instagram accounts. Moreover, their synchronized captions reiterated the preliminary question, “What is something people are not ready to hear?” The image depicts the pair all in black cowboy hats. The three amigos smile as they tip their hats kindling the curiosity even further.

Subsequently, the track in question is “Ecstasy of Soul,” released today, December 14th on Deadbeats. The track intro takes inspiration from the iconic western song, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” but with a twist. The song slowly builds up combining a cyclone of beats, leading to the inquiry. “What is something people are not ready to hear,” the question at hand being echoed yet again. 

With the reply, “GRiZ, yeah. Zed’s Dead,” then immediately the song erupts with a smoking gun of dubstep beats. The energetic yet tantalizing track encompasses both artists’ creativity in a culmination of sound we weren’t ready for. Saddle up and grab the reins as we slowly drift into a digital entourage of cosmic creation. The endorphins encapsulate as the listener is gently taken back to how the song began.
