Ghastly Overcomes Flight Delays to Perform Energetic Show in Austin

Despite flight complications last week, Austin was still graced with a high-octane performance from Ghastly on his Ghengar tour.  

GHASTLY persevered in light of travel complications on his flight to Austin from Toronto but didn’t miss a beat. Earlier this year in January, GHASTLY hinted at a new project, and in mid-March, he posted an image of himself in a ghoulish mask. Since then GHENGAR, his newest project, has taken up his socials and been the main focus. He announced his NECROMANCER TOUR for GHENGAR at the end of September.

The 16-date tour kicked off on October 7th in Chicago. Last week his 13th stop on his tour was in Austin, Texas. GHASTLY shared on his IG Story some frustrations with his travels. “Flights keep getting delayed and canceled but I will make it to you no matter what Austin,” he wrote. He indeed kept his promise as he took the stage at midnight at The Concourse Project in South Austin. 

GHASTLY immediately dominated the crowd with his intrepid stage presence as he greeted the roaring crowd. The organs played evoking images of The Undertaker at WrestleMania, GHASTLY embodying that same charisma. He climbed the DJ platform, “Are you readddyyyyy,” then the beat dropped. The synchronicity of his movements, the lighting effects, and the theatrical smoke set the tone for the evening. 

The first hour of his set showcased his GHASTLY tracks with interwoven musical madness mixing in some killer classics. He took the crowd around the musical universe with song remixes with “Bodies“, “Sunglasses at Night“, “Forever Young“, “Gangstas Paradise“, “Insane in the Brain”, “One More Time,” and “Gucci Gucci.” Around 1 am, our dapper gentleman GHASTLY transformed into the almighty alluring, thought-provoking GHENGAR.

The sea of fans screamed as his mask began to illuminate with red light. He climbed back on the platform with such athleticism to bestow the glorious venture which was about to ensue. A Ghengar girlie was right in front of the stage moving to the beat as she clutched her Gastly (Pokemon) plushy. Numerous fans began head banging holding tightly to the railing as they were drawn in by the Necromancer himself.

GHENGAR commanded the crowd from start to finish with his metal-like beat influx. High key musically crushing on GHASTLY as GHENGAR, the combination of elements hits ridiculously hard. With only a few dates left on this tour, don’t miss out, highly recommended! Ghastly recently dropped some dope GHENGAR merch reflective of his metal influences. An entire LP is desired to continue on this grisly but beautifully intoxicating enchantment, hand in hand with GHENGAR.
