Electric Forest 2023 Sold Out in Hours After Opening Ticket Sales
Electric Forest fans were left disappointed and frustrated when the highly anticipated music festival sold out within hours of going on sale.
The popular music and arts festival Electric Forest has once again sold out in record time. Fans of the event flocked to purchase tickets as soon as they went on sale, causing the festival to sell out in just a few hours. However, many festival loyalists who had attended the event in previous years reported having difficulty securing tickets, even with their priority status.
The demand for tickets was so high that many people reported technical issues while attempting to purchase them online. Many faced error messages and were kicked out of the virtual “waiting room” before they could even get to the ticket-buying page.
In addition to the ticketing chaos, many also complained that the prices for tickets were unreasonable compared to previous years. For example, camping is now a separate charge that attendees must pay while in past years it was included in your ticket admission.
Though it is of no surprise Electric Forest’s high demand for tickets as music festivals have become increasingly popular over the years. Forest is one of the most sought-after music festivals in the country, creating a one-of-a-kind experience that combines music, art, and the natural environment with some of the biggest names in electronic music.
This year’s festival headliners feature Zeds Dead, ODESZA, Sofi Tukker, Ganja White Night, Chris Lake, Above & Beyond, REZZ, and two nights of the String Cheese Incident. Electric Forest will take place in Rothbury, Michigan from June 27 to July 1, 2023.
Despite the quick sell-out, fans who were unable to get tickets still have a chance to attend the festival. People that did not snag a ticket during the general sale can try their luck and purchase through the official wristband exchange, on the Electric Forest website.
