Shlump Follows Alien Shit EP with Multi-Dimensional Second Installment
Shlump releases his latest EP Alien Shit, Pt. II as part of the second installment following his first Alien Shit release.
Its here! Shlump has released his highly anticipated EP Alien Shit, Pt. II which is available on all streaming platforms. The EP features 4 out of this world tracks including a tune with Xotix and Ringtone Murder. This EP follows his earlier Alien Shit EP which was released back in 2015.
This EP has been labeled as being part of the “freeform bass” genre that was coined by fellow bass artist Mersiv. The Bay Area native brings his own energy to the scene and this EP goes deeper into the more wonky side of bass. This EP is out now via WAKAAN and marks Shlump’s second EP of the year following ‘Drift Away’.
In addition to this EP release, Shlump will be releasing some additional dates for his Alien Trip Tour which began in August of this year. His next tour stop will be in Minneapolis on the 16th and his known dates will continue into the new year. In addition to his own tour Shlump has performed at many festivals including Lost Lands, Lightning in a Bottle, Shambhala and Boonaroo.
Before the release of this EP Shlump told his Instagram followers that he would be taking questions for the 24 hours up until the release. Fans asked him many questions about his life, his music, and when he may be returning to their cities. One fan asked about his inspiration for his song “Alien Technology” to which he responded that his track included “vocal clips” from “old sci-fi movie trailers”.
The influence of sci-fi and space magic clearly has a huge influence on Shlump’s tracks and his cover art work including this latest EP. Make sure to check out Alien Shit, Pt.
