Ultra RESISTANCE Reveals First-Ever US Club Residency at New Miami Club M2
Miami Beach and Ultra RESISTANCE team up for the ultimate dynamic duo.
Ultra’s famed RESISTANCE stage has announced its first-ever United States DJ residency, beginning at Miami’s newest and hottest nightclub M2. This Miami Beach hotspot, the second iteration of the M2 brand, recently opened its doors to the public, shortly before announcing news of this forthcoming residency.
The original M2 in New York City opened in the early 2000s and paved the way for the latest suave Miami Beach edition, which will feature some of house and techno’s most acclaimed and lauded artists.
This Washington Avenue Miami Beach venue has a long, prominent history in Miami. It was the infamous “The French Casino” back in 1935 and became home to Prince’s nightclub “Glam Slam” from 1994-1997. This historic building was most recently home to Mansion, a 35,000-square-foot club on one of the most bustling streets of South Beach.
Post Mansion’s closure in 2015, the venue underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation, upping the spot’s aesthetic to sport a sultry, posh, club-kid vibe. The venue will also feature Miami Beach’s signature Art Deco style, a must-see for those that have never explored this tropical destination spot.
Ultra RESISTANCE has been perfecting its residency project for years now, with most of its experience abroad. At its first-ever residency in the legendary Ibiza nightclub Privilege, one of the largest nightclubs in the world, the project featured serious industry heavy hitters such as Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Sasha & John Digweed, Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones, and Maceo Plex.
Only a year after the project’s inception, RESISTANCE Ibiza was awarded ‘Best Ibiza Night 2018’ by DJ Awards, a well-deserved accolade for one heck of a production. Although it will be hard to top, Ultra RESISTANCE has big plans for this Miami Beach venue and is excited to bring talent to one of the most iconic cities in the world.
