Watch Louis The Child Perform Techno Alias Black Marble on a 360-Degree Stage

Louis the Child perform on a rotating stage at Radius Chicago ahead of their new third beat tape

On November 26, Louis the Child took on Radius Chicago to showcase their techo-house project, Black Marble. What is almost as surprising as the project itself was the 360 degree stage beneath them. The duo played a set on a rotating stage hooked up with beams, lights, and strobes.

The set was as deep and dark as you could expect. Furthermore, apart from the magic of the event, the show was a friendsgiving food drive. Attendees were encouraged to bring rice, cooking oil, oatmeal, and beans. The Pilsen Food Pantry recieved the donations following the show.

For Black Marble, this wasn’t their first rodeo. The duo have been teasing both the project and their unreleased songs at different shows this summer. They debuted the project at New York’s, Brooklyn Mirage, and made an appearance at Burning Man. When speaking about the show the duo said ““We’d really like to perform it as a film in a club anytime we do it, but we might just do DJ sets,” they continued “We see it being an interesting mix between going to a movie and going to a club at the same time, somehow combining the two feelings. The project is focused on creativity and imagination as the artists push musical boundaries.  Additionally, the Burning Man set was released and is now available via Soundcloud.

Furthermore, this year has been nothing short of amazing for LTC. The duo has played all over the world headlining the biggest stages. Their notable appearances were at Burning Man, Electric Forrest, Governors Ball, Coachella, LED USA, and many more.

Finally, as the Black Marble project starts to take shape, be on the lookout for some upcoming shows set for the new year.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
