Groove Cruise Announces Largest Ship Ever for 20th Anniversary Sailing in 2024

Groove Cruise will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a voyage on its largest, most luxurious ship to date.

Whet Travel’s Groove Cruise is bringing out the big guns to commemorate its 20th year of operation.  The anniversary voyage will sail between Miami and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas from January 24-28, 2024 on its newest and largest ship yet – the Norwegian Encore.  Offering top-notch amenities, 40 bars and restaurants, and extensive onboard activities, the options are endless aboard this 96-hour raver’s playground.

Known prominently for its promotion of friendship, openmindedness, and unfettered self-expression, this experience will be nothing like your average cruise.  It’s not often that one gets a chance to float along the Caribbean with people united by the same passion.  Additionally, Great Stirrup Cay is a private island only accessible to the Encore’s guests, meaning that attendees will step into a dance music mecca upon arrival.

If the upcoming lineup is any indication of what’s in store, the Cruise Captains will undoubtedly deliver a weekend of unforgettable performances.  Groove Cruise’s 2023 journey promises major headliners – from deep house queen Nora En Pure to tech house duo Claptone, to musical hard-hitter Jauz. With 70+ artists representing an array of subgenres, this nonstop dance party will certainly have something for everybody to love.

Now the world’s most renowned floating EDM festival, the idea was born in 2004 out of a get-together of 125 friends.  Although Groove Cruise has been around for almost two decades, this tight-knit community has enduring spirit even amid the event’s exponential growth.  In fact, it has such a cult following that loyalty pre-sale tickets for the 2024 voyage already sold out.

Given that the ship holds just under 4,000 passengers, don’t worry just yet if you missed the pre-sale. Groove Cruise Miami 2024 general ticket sales will begin December 7 at 3:00 P.M. EST.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 10+ years now. I have always had a knack for writing and the power of words, which I continued cultivating through a Philosophy degree in college. Now, I am finishing up law school and hope to merge my passions by working in the music industry. I am an avid traveler and am certainly not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My next bucket list items to attend are Tomorrowland in Belgium and ADE in the Netherlands. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists include Franky Wah, Kevin de Vries, Eli Brown, and John Summit.
