Don’t sleep on the brand new release, ‘Temperaments EP,’ by Ren Zukii a savage production sure to ignite the drum & bass connoisseur within.

Ren Zukii is back with her bussin’ creation ‘Temperaments EP,’ exploring her diversified musical palette solely on Wakaan. The Australian-born DJ and producer initially caught our attention this past summer in July with her first EP release, ‘Monarch.’ Joining the Wakaan family has kickstarted her career. Subsequently, allowing her to gain new listeners, and enlarge her audience.

On November 29th her second EP, ‘Temperaments,’ was released. The four-track EP is a 12-minute intentional investigation of her duality of sound. Ren notified her fan base on social media of her latest drop. “‘TEMPERAMENTS’ is OUT NOW! ? I had a great experience writing this EP & I hope you enjoy it? Moreover, not only was Ren excited but her fans were as well. One commented, “Absolute fire ????,” while another fan noted, “OOOF I love these visuals ?.” The album title, temperaments, was quite deliberate, encasing a double meaning. Temperaments can attribute to either calibrating a musical instrument or a scale of emotion. Needless to say, Ren has executed just that.

During the duration of creating this album, Ren secluded herself in a remote location in Western Australia off the south coast. Only surrounded by her thoughts, environment, and laptop without any outside interference. She stated, “It allowed me to push my boundaries. Each track tells a different story of what and how I was feeling at the time.

The album starts with “Eyes Half Shut,” alluring the listener with a hypnotic beat reminiscent of an Indian-like sample, uttering the words, “This is all your fault.” The musical trance melts into, “Mortem,” slowly revving up the tempo to a plateau of infectious sound. Up next, “Reason,” shifting gears with a magnetic drum and bass tempo.

Lastly concluding the EP with, “Sanction,” a digital bath with soft tones gearing up to the final KO of electrifying mastery feeling like a Mortal Kombat soundscape. The assortment of BPM from 85 to 174 is easily recognized. In addition, Ren will be live at Bohemian Beatfreaks in December to experience ‘Temperaments,” firsthand.
