What is the Theme of Tomorrowland 2023?

Tomorrowland releases the theme of next year’s festival: “Adscendo” which has fans questioning what the theme signifies.

Tomorrowland released the theme for their 2023 summer festival titled “Adscendo” but has not given much detail about its meaning. So far the only thing set in stone is the dates which will take place over two weekends: July 21st-23rd & 28th-30th. Other than that Tomorrowland shared a cryptic video of the theme on their Instagram for next year which has followers coming up with ideas as to its meaning.

The video includes a symbol of the theme which has in it what appears to have a sewing needle and thread, a compass, a hammer, and an axe. Some followers have pointed out that it looks similar to the symbol of the freemasons from the end of the 13th century. While others, most likely video game enthusiasts, suggested that it looked similar to the symbol in the video game Assasin’s Creed.

Organizers of the event also announced that this year’s theme will be accompanied by a fantasy trilogy book series. A most interesting new development and new creative idea coming from the creators of this imaginative festival. This year’s theme “The Reflection of Love” had many memorable moments that led this year to stand out among the others.

One of the most well-deserved and historical moments was when Charlotte Dewitte became the first woman to close out the main stage. Additionally, the kids who have been learning to DJ through the festival boot camp were able to perform live at the festival grounds this year. Finally, there was the legendary moment in which the dubstep royalty Sullivan King made his mark by crowd surfing onto none other than DJ Diesel

Next year’s theme will continue to evolve as time goes by and hopefully fans will get clarity as to what exactly the theme will entail. The festival will be continuing to bring virtual aspects to life next year as they did this year. Make sure to keep an eye out and pre-register for the festival which will begin on December 7th.
