John Summit Slams Festivals And Denounces US Events in 2023

John Summit reports he will perform at fewer festivals and more personal shows next year according to Twitter.

Following a big event weekend, including tons of events in Orlando, John Summit is once again having to face some Twitter drama. This past weekend he is one of the many artists who traveled to Orlando to perform at the popular event, Electric Daisy Carnival. He performed two sets at the event including a huge back-to-back with legends Green Velvet and Dom Dolla. But, shortly after he has been getting backlash from overcrowding at his events.

On Twitter, following the weekend a Twitter user complained about his set dealing with overcrowding. John Summit was quick to hear the news and responded to the post stating ” I only have 2 more shows booked then that’s it. I spend all day every day trying to give u guys the best show possible and all ppl do is complain.”

Twitter fans were quick to show their support for him. But, other users just continued to bring the popular DJ and producer down. He made another post following up on the situation. He stated “I’m not doing many festivals at all next year so I can focus on my own events where I have full creative control and really try to give u guys the best experience possible”

Fans took to the comments asking which festival he would be at. The main festivals included EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Miami. He commented back to the questioning about Ultra Miami, stating he would not be at that event. Then, he surprised everyone with a huge announcement. On Instagram, a few days following the Twitter drama, he announced his show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

This was exactly the type of announcement fans needed! Excitedly, this will be John Summit’s first Red Rocks event, which is a huge step for any musical artist. The event takes place next year on May 14th, 2023. The presale for the show occurred on November 17th. But, shortly following the presale John Summit announced selling out the event. After, he announced over 8000 tickets sold for the show. But, on Monday, November 21, 2022, 1,000 more tickets go on sale.

John Summit may be at fewer festivals. But, even though we may not be seeing John Summit on a huge festival announcement, his fans will not be left without seeing this legend. With his Off the Grid label growing, we will see many more personal show announcements just like Red Rocks!

I have been writing for Exron Music for around eight months now and cannot wait to see what is to come throughout the years. At festivals and clubs, you will find me at any house and techno stage supporting my favorites Eli Brown or Dom Dolla, or belting every word to Porter Robinson tracks wherever he performs.
