Disco Donnie and ILLENIUM Respond to Questionable Sexual Activity at Freaky Deaky
Reports of public sex acts at a Texas Halloween festival surface after some fans took “freaky deaky” a bit too literally.
Freaky Deaky returned to Houston, Texas this Halloween weekend with a killer lineup and what seems to be the best edition yet. However, the festival has been in the news for other reasons this week. According to an anonymous post on Reddit, someone witnessed unspeakable acts being committed at the rail.
The anonymous user claimed that not only one couple was engaged in such activity, but that “several couples” were performing these acts. To make matters worse, the person alleged that the sex acts were committed during Illenium’s headlining set. Some fans refer to Illenium as the “Jesus DJ” or think his sound resembles Christian music.
Illenium himself played into the comparison, adding,”Really ya’ll? You did this in front of Jesus!? ON A SUNDAY!??” Other artists such as Dabin and William Black chimed in on the thread, making jokes about Illenium, Jesus, and the disturbing performances. Another Twitter user said, “Guess you can say they had a hole-y experience!”
Disco Donnie, the event’s organizer also chimed in with his take on the claims. It seems like all he could muster up was a meme, but a meme says a thousand words:
Unsurprisingly, no one has come forward to take responsibility for having sex at the rail during Illenium’s Freaky Deaky set. However, some have taken the opportunity to defend those that choose to engage in sex acts in the crowd at music festivals.
At the same time, others have argued that engaging in public sex acts is a crime and anyone who does so is a sex offender. Either way, the incident has sparked a greater discussion in the EDM industry regarding consent.
