Blended Festival Owner Disappears Leaving Staff and Ticket Holders With No Answers

The CEO of My Wine Society and organizer of Blended Festival, Sean Evans, has left ticketholders, staff, and many others with zero information regarding the fate of his events.

Blended Festival is a series of multi-genre music and wine festivals that were scheduled to take place in several cities across the US this year. The first event this year took place in Nashville on September 10th and 11th and featured Lil Jon, Loud Luxury, Rich the Kid, and others. Blended Festival is organized by a group called My Wine Society, whose CEO is named Sean Evans.

After a successful Nashville event, ticketholders and staff were expected to be gearing up for more events in Tampa, San Diego, and Austin. However, news recently broke that the festivals would be indefinitely postponed under alarming circumstances. Read the announcement below:

According to the announcement, CEO of My Wine Society Sean Evans ghosted staff, vendors, fans, and everyone involved, allowing people to only assume the worst. The worst being–no festival, and no refunds.

The post details, “Blended Festival is hereby dissolved, as per an email statement from Sean Evans to select staff.” Since Sean Evans is the sole owner of My Wine Society and Blended Festival, others involved were unable to save the event. The post made by the festival directs fans to reach out to Sean Evans himself or his attorneys, with contact information available.

The unfortunate downfall of Blended Festival poses an eerie resemblance to “Fyre Festival” which festivalgoers will never forget. Many comments on the Instagram post share the sentiment. @ernest on IG commented, “Been sayin fyre fest 2.0… not y’all’s fault… dudes a fraud” while another comment reads, “fyre fest vibes.”

Right now, the fate of those waiting to get paid or refunded by My Wine Society or Blended Festival seems up in the air. The recommendation is to reach out to Sean Evans or his legal team with any specific inquiries.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!

What's your reaction?
