Rusko Nearly Kicked Out of His Own Show For Smelling Like Weed

Rusko claims that he was almost kicked out of Ministry of Sound for having some potent-smelling weed hiding in his sock.

Rusko posted on Twitter saying he was almost aggressively kicked out of his show pre-set for having weed in his sock. He claimed the Ministry of Sound manager was unhappy about the weed stinking up the entire top floor. The best part about this is that Rusko never even smoked the weed it was just on his person. He still managed to play his set that night after the confrontation with the Ministry of Sound staff.

The tweet left most of Rusko’s fans laughing with many leaving comments with the crying face emoji. One person responded with “UK gas is going crazy like that” to which Rusko responded saying “Uk gas is on some NEXT one right now ya.” Others chimed in saying he should have blamed it on a skunk and another offered to let Rusko use their medical marijuana card.

Rusko spent most of the Summer and early Fall playing with 12th Planet on their coheadline tour Dubplate Special. The two producers have been long-time friends and decided to go on a tour that focused on old-school dubstep. At each stop on the tour 12th Planet and Rusko would close with an old-school b2b. They have a few more cities remaining on tour including Portland, OR, Las Vegas, NV, Dallas, TX, San Diego, CA, and Pontiac, MI.

Rusko also has some other massive shows lined up for late 2022 including a few festivals. The festivals he will be performing at EDC Orlando and Radiance NYE. He is also on the stacked lineup for the Liquid Strangers Wakaan Takeover at the Mission Ballroom in Denver later this month. Some of the other shows he has slated for late 2022 include Toronto, Washington D.C., and Brooklyn.

Rusko had a battle with Gastric Lymphoma back in 2017 that caused him to cancel all his shows for the remainder of the year. After undergoing chemotherapy he released a statement late in 2017 saying he had been given the all-clear from treatment. In February 2018 he returned to planning shows and has been absolutely smashing every single set he has played since his return. It truly is an inspiring story that leaves his fans overjoyed that he was able to make such an amazing comeback.
