Tourist Moves US Fall Tour to February and Says It’s a “Volatile Time” for Music

Tourist announces that he will be moving his US fall tour dates but assures fans that the show will go on in February.

Tourist announced that his fall tour dates have been moved to February and will be announcing more tour dates. Tourist mentions in his Instagram post that “it’s a pretty volatile time to be a touring musician”. While the specific reasoning for this decision is not completely clear this is a difficult time for many artists including Tourist.

Whether it is due to not enough ticket sales, the rise of traveling costs, or mental health issues this shifting touring landscape is affecting all artists. Fans really appreciate Tourist and all other artists for the work they continue to put in despite these changes. Additionally, fans really respect artists being open with their decisions and will stick by them in support of their candidness.

Luckily for tourist fans, they will still be able to catch him for his UK shows as well as a supporting act for a couple of Bonobo’s tour dates. If not then people will have a chance to kick off the beginning of 2023 with some magical winter US shows. Tourist most recently opened for Odesza in Bend, Oregon, and was able to showcase his sound to a collection of new fans.

Additionally, Tourist recently released an uplifting song with Elderbrook called “Howl” and this year released his fourth full-length album Inside Out. William also most recently expressed excitement about the remix he did of Flume’s song “Siren” ft. Caroline Polachek. His Amazon Music rendition of the song was plastered on the big screen in Times Square, how cool!
