Space Jesus Show Gets Canceled Shortly After Announcement

Space Jesus has announced his first show since the sexual assault allegations against him were “resolved”, but it did not last long.

Space Jesus announced his return show via Instagram earlier this week. The show was set to take place in Austin, Texas at The Venue on November 19, 2022. The show was to feature support from a few smaller up-and-coming producers, including Ludge, Stone, and Novasi.

After an almost three-year-long hiatus due to the sexual assault allegations made by Michaela Higgins (Caeli La). Jasha Tull aka Space Jesus has decided he is ready to return to playing shows. Tull and Caeli La were able to settle the lawsuit outside of court. Tull and his family paid Caeli La a settlement of $80,000 to resolve the case.

This is not the first time that Space Jesus has tried to make a return to playing shows. Back in December 2021, he was set to play a show in Maui, Hawaii that he was calling Space Moon Maui. The announcement for this show received a lot of backlash from fans because at the time the sexual assault allegations were still in progress.

Before Space Jesus announced the show, he posted to his Space Fam Facebook group saying, “Yes I am ready to play some music. You may find yourself asking, Where? When? Come back early next week and find out.” In April of 2022 shortly after he resolved the sexual assault allegations Space Jesus released a nine-track EP called Book II. This EP gained him a lot of attention because many bass music fans enjoyed the music he had released while some still remained skeptical.

There is no doubt that throughout this whole process of trying to resolve the sexual assault allegations that Space Jesus’ reputation was tarnished. Many fans are still hesitant to support his return, but others are refusing to leave his side. Unfortunately for the artist and his fanbase, the show was canceled after the venue became aware of the circumstances.

Space Jesus removed the announcement from his socials and has yet to post on his fan page, Space Fam about the cancelation. Read the statement from The Venue in Austin below:
