Rüfüs Du Sol And Fred Again.. Wowed with Double Debut Performance at the Gorge Amphitheater

RÜFÜS DU SOL And Fred Again.. performed for their first time at the Gorge Amphitheater and delivered an unforgettable performance.

RÜFÜS DU SOL and Fred Again.. each performed an amazing set for the fastest-selling concert of the season at the Gorge Amphitheatre. This was both artists’ first time performing at the Gorge and they both expressed their excitement to be there. The night began with a performance by Paraleven followed by Fred Again.. with RÜFÜS topping off the night.

This was the only performance Fred was doing in conjunction with RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Surrender tour. This was one of two stops on the Surrender tour that occurred in the PNW with the second in Bend, Oregon. Fred played a very emotional and moving set and gave life to the Gorge with his presence.

Fred Again.. played many of his lovely tracks including one of his latest singles “Danielle (smile on my face)” which will be on his upcoming album: “Actual Life 3′. Fred had his brother Tony with him djing while he went off on the beat board. He continued on to play “Billie”, “Marea”, “Sabrina” and many other of his unique tracks.

During Fred’s performance, he had multiple screens going, some on the outer sides of the stage showing him, and then one on center stage. The center stage showed clips of people dancing and laughing, as well as the spoken word speeches that Fred has. The use of spoken words and intimate moments is a form of artistic expression that Fred is known for cultivating in his music.

One of the most memorable moments was Fred had the audience take out their camera lights and sing along to “Angie (I’ve been lost)”. It began with Fred singing “I’ve been lost” and the audience would repeat back “but I’m really trying”. This moment was especially euphoric and was the perfect moment to let go of any negativity anyone was holding on to.

Next up was RÜFÜS DU SOL who invited all attendees to go on a journey with them for the rest of the night. For many EDM fans, Rufus was one of the first artists they heard of, leading to their love for electronic music. This was a special night for those fans and all the fans along the way who love this group with their entire soul.

The group opened up the show with the vocals from the chorus of “Make it Happen” stating that “love can change your life”. These lyrics rang true throughout the show where the love could be felt between every person in attendance. Throughout the set, all three members had their own mini stage and combined both live vocals and live instruments to create an entire live experience.

They performed many of their songs including “Underwater”, “On My Knees”, “Always” and many others on their latest album ‘Surrender’. While playing “Innerbloom” the energy in the venue filled with warmth and excitement as everyone became entranced with love for this classic tune. They concluded the night with “No Place” and there was no better ending to summarize the night.
