Sasha Rome Unleashed a Fresh Disco-House Set at Elsewhere for Season Closer

Sheila Lim — 5 months ago

Sasha Rome opened for Warner Case at the Elsewhere rooftop venue, along with emerging new DJ, Helen Agnes.

Opening for Warner Case at Elsewhere in the past week, Brooklyn-based Sasha Rome returned to the crowd-favorite roof terrace venue ahead of its closing for the fall season. The event, which also saw Helen Agnes as an opening act, was captivating in its entirety from start to end.

Against the backdrop of the shimmery sunset, cool weather, and mesmerizing view on the roof, the clubgoers were charged out with a breezy, laid-back mood as they were immersed in a vibrant spirit of embracing the moment in style. To complement the vibe, Sasha Rome took on a disco house spin with rhythmic efficiency within his 60-minute set.

When it comes to having an intuitive understanding of emotion and dance floor grooves, Sasha Rome nailed it through his live sets. He delivered his pristine creations from the latest EP ‘Criminal’, including ‘Release’, ‘Crystallize’, ‘Like That’, as well as a host of delicate remixes.

Throughout the night, the clubgoers were sent into an ethereal paradise through a dizzying array of danceable music. The orange-hued skyline and glowing stage lights added a futuristic lens to the dreamy venue. Shortly before Warner Case took on the deck, the crowd was already locked in their perfect disco-styled groove on the dance floor and ready for a much-needed weekday wind down.

Not a stranger to Elsewhere and a crowd favorite at local venues including the likes of Webster Hall and Schimanski, Sasha Rome continues to master his vintage-like electronic signature sound that infuses a twist of nostalgia and funk. His latest debut EP, Criminal, released in July 2022, lays down a propulsive house cut that swirls with heavenly vocals from the featured artists and undoubtedly showcases his boundless musical prowess.
