John Summit Holds Very First Off the Grid Label Block Party

Earlier this year, the young Chicago superstar, John Summit, launched his very own record label and event brand, Off the Grid. To kick off the first event he hit the road to Tempe, Arizona with fellow DJs Deeper Purpose and Lucati. Following both opening acts, John Summit finished the night off with a 2-hour set that lefts fans wanting more.

It wasn’t too long after the event that Off the Grid announced their second official event. John Summit and his gang will be heading to New York to take over the Brooklyn Mirage for a daytime event on October 8.

2022 has been nothing but a career boost for John Summit. He played at some of the biggest festivals in the world like Coachella, EDC, Electric Forest, Tomorrowland, and Lollapalooza. While touring the festival circuit he also made several big club appearances at Club Space Miami, Ushuaïa, Marquee Las Vegas, and El Row.

Given all of his tour shows and his Off the Grid block parties, nothing compares to his most recent stop. On October 1, Summit took over the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles for his biggest headlining show yet. Due to selling out the October 1st show, Summit and his crew extended a second show the following day. In addition, the second performance was listed as a “darker extended set”. You might be wondering what that means, but it’s one of those “you had to be there” situations.

As John Summit continues to take over the scene as one of the quickest rising acts, it’s phenomenal to see what the young star has accomplished within a year. As he closes out his fall tour dates, get ready for a whole different level of John Summit next year.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
