GRiZ Offers Reimbursement to Fans Who Received Citations at Triple Rainbow Alpine Valley
In an effort to curb overzealous Paul Blarts, GRiZ tackled a citations problem efficiently and generously.
GRiZ and friends LSDream, CloZee, Minnesota, Tripp St, and company recently produced and performed at the two-day Triple Rainbow event, located in East Troy Wisconsin, on September 16th and 17th. Triple Rainbow was highly anticipated by many electronic music fans and an opportunity to camp in the Midwest’s gorgeous, early-autumn weather.
In terms of sets and performances, the experience was outstanding. GRiZ’s set featured live saxophone arrangements, which, for those familiar with his most recent album, was majorly fitting. GRiZ’s music is often accompanied by brassy interludes, giving a lot of his work a jazzy and energized buzz.

Beyond the actual music, however, a lot of fans complained about officious event personnel and ridiculous parking citations (keep in mind, this was a camping festival). In a statement released on Twitter, GRiZ announced his discomfort and disappointment regarding the stringent policies and abundant citations of the festival.
“I’m beyond upset [with] the policing and worked really hard on this event.” GRiZ continued: “To see our community treated so poorly was heartbreaking. I always want what’s best for y’all, so if [you] got a citation there, email grizpresentssummer22@gmail.com [with] a screenshot of the ticket & I’ll reimburse [you].”
The Alpine Valley Theatre promptly responded to the initial discontent with, “We’d like to say thank you to the GRiZ community. It was a pleasure to host you at Alpine Valley. “We acknowledge that some campers had a less than optimal experience in our campground and we apologize. We appreciate your valuable feedback as we are continuously working to improve our camping experience. Feel free to contact us at AlpineValleyHelp@LiveNation.com. We hope everyone had a great weekend and look forward to seeing you again.”
Clearly, there was a little bit of a disconnect. The Alpine Valley Theatre wasn’t exactly getting the message, but no matter. GRiZ has got your back.
