Porter Robinson’s Fiancé Rika Mikuriya Faces Off with Instagram Scammer

Rika Mikuriya shared her experience with an Instagram user who tried to scam her of her money by editing her profile details.

Porter Robinson’s fiancé, Rika Mikuriya took to Instagram to rant about her experience dealing with an online scammer. Just this week, the half Japanese, long-time lover of the world-renowned electronic DJ, shared her frustration over social media.

Along with four screenshots of messages exchanged over Instagram with a user named ‘maryanngarvi‘, the conversation started with the scammer reaching out to Rika to asked if she was willing to “honor and accept his friendship or turn it down”. She continueD to explain that “he can message you on instagram with his verified account”, suggesting that she is plotting to win Rika over with having Porter Robinson connect with her directly.

While it seems that the scammer does not realise who she was dealing with, was in fact Porter Robinson’s fiancé, she went on to explain how Rika should edit her profile email to include another address so that “he can start receiving messages and chat” directly with her.

Rika was quick to play along and seemingly went ahead to egg her on by saying “i can pay you directly under the table”. Thereafter, she shared Instagram story posts on her account with a selfie to tell her followers that “i’m honestly already so over this person”. 

Unfortunately for the scammer, she has chosen the wrong “fan” to target and Rika has outrightly condemned her act of of trying to scam Porter fans. A quick check on Instagram has revealed that the scammer’s account still exists and that fans of any musical artists should continue to stay wary of any internet strolls and accounts they are unfamiliar with.
