Where to Catch The Infamous Shrek Rave on Tour in the US

Event organizer Ka5sh mixes the right amount of cringe and nostalgia for the second round of the famous “Shrek Rave.”

In what lifetime can one say that you went to a Shrek Rave? You read this right. Picture a cluster of ogres drinking green swampy cocktails raving at the OG Swamp.

The “Shrek Rave” has been dominating the United States with their tour. It started out as a viral rave and has blown up to sell out multiple destinations, including its first show in San Francisco. This rave serves the right amount of cringe, joy, laughs, nostalgia, and fun.

Dedicated ogres, ravers, and swamp lovers are encouraged to come as their fugliest ogres, and some may even appear as other Shrek characters. Who knows, maybe you can watch Donkey flipping some pancakes, get knocked over by some blind mice, or even meet a mystical creature or two.

Los Angeles-based content creator Ka5sh originally organized the first Shrek Rave in March 2022 to collect funds for a North Carolina shooting victim. The popularity of the “Shrek 1” themed rave raised over $10,000 to give to his sister, Hayle Smith, who was robbed and shot nine times in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Fans all over the country have been ecstatic about this memorable silly rave. Los Angeles-based event organizer shared on Twitter how he has even met a guy who has been to four Shrek Raves. Now, that is one dedicated ogre.

The Swamps Across America Tour will be touring across major city swamps such as New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Denver. More dates will be added soon.

Yoooo, the homies call me Marz. I am a multidimensional Piscean Latina fairy from Miami-Dade County (no, not Florida). Electronic music has allowed me to appreciate the profound beauty that can be found in finding peace within the chaos. Artists such as Rezz, Skrillex, John Summit, Michael Bibi, and Amtrac blend the two seamlessly, creating a harmonious balance that resonates with me whenever I am on the dancefloor. When I am writing about electronic music, I feel this same balance of peace and chaos moving through me - starting in my hips, filling my heart, and radiating out from my soul. The power of music has brought me to this exact moment, and I only desire that you feel the warmth of the sun through my words.
