Most Memorable Sets From Electric Zoo 2022

Electric Zoo 3.0 left us speechless for many reasons, but especially thanks to these incredible performances.

New York City–the heartbeat of America and the city that’s carrying dance music on its back. Home to the country’s most sought-after music venue, the Brooklyn Mirage, this city knows how to put on a show…and a music festival! Taking place this past Labor Day weekend, Made Event’s Electric Zoo 3.0 reminded us why NYC is the best place in the US to see our favorite EDM acts.

Situated on Randall’s Island, between Manhattan and Brooklyn, Electric Zoo 3.0 did not disappoint with the views. But really, imagine watching Martin Garrix play on a massive stage set against the Manhattan skyline.

The world-class artists, next-level stage design and production, diverse vendors, and the beautiful faces of fans made Electric Zoo 3.0 one for the books. Although every set was one we’ll talk about for years to come, we’ve highlighted some of the most memorable sets from Electric Zoo’s 2022 edition below.

Carl Cox

Legendary techno pioneer Carl Cox hosted his very own stage at the festival, “Carl Cox Invites.” The stage featured the likes of Charles Meyer, Loco Dice, and other major players in dance music. Of course, Carl Cox closed out the stage on Sunday evening for an epic performance, drawing a massive crowd to celebrate another successful year of Electric Zoo.

Subtronics

If anyone can bring dubstep to the main stage, it’s Subtronics! The Philly-based DJ took the Antheon stage Sunday evening to play a plethora of his own hot edits. Subtronics knows how to engage a crowd like no other, and he didn’t hold back for his New York City fans.

G Jones b2b Eprom

G Jones and Eprom are undoubtedly one of the most sought-after pairings in EDM. Together, they deliver bass music like it’s never been heard before–glitchy synths, booming basslines, and soulful melodies. G Jones and Eprom have shared a stage no more than two hands can count, so Electric Zoo truly experienced something special this Labor Day weekend.

Chris Lake

Grammy-nominated producer Chris Lake graced the Antheon stage at Electric Zoo, drawing one of the biggest crowds of the weekend. Chris Lake played all his beloved bangers, along with unreleased tunes that fans couldn’t get enough of.

Gordo

Gordo deserves to be on this list solely for making it to Electric Zoo straight from Burning Man. But really, this man is a wizard on the decks and knows how to command a crowd, no matter what genre he’s playing out.

Tchami

Tchami hosted a Confession stage on the festival’s first night, which included a stacked lineup of artists like Malaa, Wax Motif, Matroda, and others. But his own performance was the main event, of course. Fans couldn’t seem to walk away even once the music stopped.

Clozee

Electric Zoo had a real treat on Sunday evening with a closing Clozee performance. The French DJ hosted her own Odyzey stage takeover at the Levitron stage, bringing some of the most innovative artists in bass music along with her. Clozee’s set was just as heavy as it was emotional, the perfect way to close out an incredible weekend at Electric Zoo.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!

What's your reaction?
