Moore Kismet Shares They Are “So Close to Giving Up” After Receiving Negative Messages

Following a slew of cynical messages directed at Moore Kismet, they share their concern on social media, “So close to giving up.” 

Moore Kismet voiced their thoughts this past week concerning negative messages they have been encountering. Consequently taking a toll on their mental health, as they contemplated their place as an artist. The young music producer pioneered their way into the electronic dance scene. Moore was recognized as the youngest artist to ever perform at EDC Las Vegas and Lollapalooza in 2021. 

The 17-year-old music creator tweeted some real talk on August 28th, “music will always be a huge part of my life, but this is just not becoming enjoyable for me anymore.” The music industry has its challenges for any up-and-coming artist. Even though Moore felt downhearted, their followers came through for the win with nothing but loving support.

The Moore Kismet’s Unicorn Society replied, “It may be pouring rain now but you have me/mom/ and everyone else holding up your umbrella! You’re soooo loved Omar you will push thru this! Ilysm.” It’s truly uncanny what the reassurance of friends, family, and loved ones can do. Another follower commented, “your energy and artistry are so so so beautiful.”

Earlier this summer, Moore released their debut LP, “Universe,” in celebration of Pride Month on Thrive Music. The album was dedicated to, “Every weirdo that might feel out of place in the world,” true words of inclusion. Omar Davis aka Moore Kismet is an advocate for LGBTQ+ teens, being a black, non-binary, pansexual individual himself. 

Born in Adelanto, California on the outskirts of Los Angeles Kismet showed interest in music early on. At the age of six, Moore reached out to the reputable Full Sail University, regarding admission. Then at seven, downloaded Fruity Loops to the family laptop. Subsequently, at 15 they began performing DJ sets after years of practicing and YouTube tutorials.

Moreover, their rise to stardom has been a timeline of perseverance and passion. The pressures of success and the commentary of others can weigh on anyone. Despite their uncertainties, Moore Kismet is a trailblazer, not only for their age but for the genuine approach taken in their music. Currently, on tour til the end of the year, ample time to show your love and support for this budding artist.
