Exron Exclusive Interview: Sofi Tukker at Elements Festival 2022

Exron Music connected with Grammy-nominated duo Sofi Tukker at Elements Festival to talk touring, recent releases, and most importantly, friendship.

Sofi Tukker have become one of the world’s most acclaimed electronic artists, thanks to their bold stage presence and sound mastery in the studio. Although it seems the group regularly celebrates career victories, we were impressed to learn that their summer hit “Purple Hat” recently went gold in the US. Not to mention, the two just checked off bucket list headlining shows at venues like The Brooklyn Mirage and Berkeley’s Greek Theatre, both sold-out events.

We were thrilled to sit down with Sophie and Tucker, a.k.a. Sofi Tukker in the flesh at Elements Music and Arts Festival in Pennsylvania. The two had just come off their US leg of the Wet Tennis tour and were preparing to take the show to Europe. Of course, we had to prod into their long-standing friendship, the vision behind Wet Tennis, and the jump between live streams and live crowds.

Being able to thoroughly captivate an audience through stream and on stage is a profound talent that simply proves these two were born to entertain. But don’t just take our word for it, catch Sofi Tukker on tour and experience the energy for yourself. The duo is keen on performing hybrid live/DJ sets, something we were lucky enough to witness at Elements and even ask them about.
