Listen to Nero’s Remix of deadmau5 XYZ During Combined ‘We Are Friends’ Tour
The legendary deadmau5 and Nero link up for a North American tour.
The infamous DJ deadmau5 – one of the most influential figures in all of house and electronic dance music history – embarked upon an extensive North American tour earlier this year, which began in the summer and is on track to culminate in mid-December. The tour features pitstops in major cities such as Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Chicago, Cincinnati, San Francisco, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, Dallas, Boston, and more. The iconic deadmau5 will perform alongside special guests Bensley, Blackgummy, Eddie, HNTR, Kasablanca, Lamorn, Lupa, Morgin Madison, Nero, No Mana, Psycho Boys Club, and company.
One of the most notable names on the list is none other than Nero, a British music trio comprised of Dan Stephens, Joe Ray, and Alana Watson. When cross-referencing the DJs’ tour schedule, Nero’s gearing up to play almost every major concert venue with deadmau5, most notably Red Rocks. Although Nero’s tour schedule features minor deviations from deadmu5’s We Are Friends Tour, the dates, venues, and cities are essentially congruent. To every lucky fan’s elation, two plus two equals four, and Nero and deadmu5 will take the stage together again in 2022.
In an Instagram post, deadmau5 shared his excitement regarding his tour with fans. “DC is sold out. See ya this weekend Echo Stage,” gushed the artist. “We’ve got Nero, No Manas b2b Eddie & Lamorn – excited!! Buffalo and Chicago to follow next month…” All of the DJs listed with the exception of the legendary Nero are up-and-coming talents with mau5trap, deadmau5’s prolific label that has championed the success stories of Skrillex, Rezz, and many more.
Nero and deadmau5 also recently dropped a collaboration, a remix of deadmau5’s “XYZ,” as a preemptive taste for the new music to come, an appetizer for the music that will debut on tour.
