Anyma Quietly Removes Fan-Favorite Track “Running” from All Streaming Platforms

Anyma’s “Running” Is Removed From All Streaming Platforms And Fans Begin To Speculate

Tale of Us member, Matteo Milleri also known as Anyma has removed his famous track, “Running”, from all streaming platforms and fans are not happy. “Running” hit the scene back in December 2021 in the form of an EP, which featured two tracks. The tracks were Anyma’s take on melodic techno which has been booming throughout the dance music scene.

Around the same time the track came out, an NFT supplemented the record and sold it on the marketplace as the visual art for the record. The visual art featured work from frequent artists Alessio De Vecchi and Filip Hodas. The NFT was minted and sold for 50 ETH, the equivalent of $222,541 to the Poseidon NFT fund. Lastly, Art Basel in Miami featured the NFT which made the project all the more special.

As of now, “Running” is not on any streaming platforms and is currently only live on YouTube. Fans have been speculating the reason for this change and the majority of answers fall under copyright permissions. “Running” samples Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill”, which has quite literally gone viral globally since its Stranger Things introduction.

In Stranger Things, season 4, “Running Up That Hill” was the theme song for the majority of the season. It wasn’t long until producers began flipping and remixing the track, similar to Anyma. Furthermore, many reddit users, and followers of Anyma have insisted that it’s a Sony Music copyright strike that ultimately caused the removal of the track. As of now, the track is still available on YouTube for audiences to enjoy but remains offline on other streaming platforms.

Moving forward, fans can only wait to see how this issue will be resolved on the publishing side. Lastly, supporters can still enjoy Anyma’s many other amazing tracks both on his solo project and with Tale of Us.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
