Flume Finally Releases “GREENPEACE” ID 5 Years Later

After five long years, fans are happy to finally hear Flume’s ID “Greenpeace” after an online chat discussion.

At last, Flume unhands a download of “Greenpeace” ID amidst an hour and a half voice chat with attendees on a Discord Q&A.  During this exchange, fans questioned the musician about a previous song released in 2017. The song was a campaign in coalition with Greenpeace Australia Pacific

Participants of the Q&A were taken back by how quickly and casually they were given a download link for the full song. KillerCh33z commented, “Can’t believe this is how we get Greenpeace.” The collab was to bring awareness of the pollutants affecting The Great Barrier Reef in the Pacific Ocean.

On December 17th, 2017 the music video created for the minute-and-a-half ID was released. The video pays homage to one of the seven wonders of the natural world. The beautiful clips encapsulate the true aquatic magic of The Pacific being home to 3,000 known species. Flume’s mesmerizing beats tragically intertwine with the nearby pollutants destroying this delicate ecosystem.

The Australian native also allotted access to ‘Get U Step‘ a second ID never released prior. Another fan, petriscorncob, from the Q&A wrote, “Absolutely unreal. I’ve been eagerly waiting for this song to drop for YEARS, and here we are just in time to see him at Red Rocks. What a dream.” The entirety of “Greenpeace” can also be found on Youtube.

Consequently, there is speculation if the song will be removed due to never being officially released. The record label has the authority to do so, with that in mind the download link may expire so act fast. The excitement is shared across all platforms. One Youtube viewer commented, “That synth has been living in my head for years.”

Flume is currently on tour with dates in the US until October. The Australian leg of the tour was announced at the end of July. Furthermore, Channel Tres, Toro y Moi, Caroline Polachek & Vera Blue will be the supporting acts for this portion of the tour. Flume will be playing in his hometown of Sydney, Australia on Friday, November 18th at The Dome at Sydney Showground.
