Kumarion Makes His Wakaan Debut With Insane Two-Track EP
Kumarion releases ‘Resonate / Shaman’ EP, a genre-bending two-track EP featuring teeth-grinding bass and ambient cultural atmospherics.
Through experimentation, comes the balance of surrendering to vulnerability within creativity, while simultaneously dancing with the ascendant light of curiosity. The two-track EP ‘Resonate / Shaman’ takes on its light through Kumarion’s reimagination of deeper basslines, experimental beats, and an apparent Eastern cultural influence through organized tones and instruments.
Wakaan even gave fans a surprise hit of dopamine with a serotonin fix by gifting a twenty-four-hour headstart listen of the two-track EP via Bassrsuh and UKF through Youtube and Soundcloud. Following the release, Omar gave gratitude to Liquid Stranger on Instagram for believing in his artistic vision in ‘Resonate / Shaman’.
The Seattle-raised, Denver-based DJ Kumarion and producer continues to significantly push the new era of drum and bass in the United States by proudly exhibiting his natural talent of freely navigating between contradicting genres in two contrasting, yet cohesive spaces. Kumarion shares:
“Resonate and Shaman are both written with an eastern-world flare to it. Resonate is a more up-beat tune where I exploit the resonance knob on the filters to get different harmonic tones of the same note. Shaman is a darker tune where I use a repetition of the same sound design patch but run through different distortions to get unique version in each individual section.”
Kumarion is currently on a summer tour with fellow drum and bass enthusiast Reaper promoting their highly popular b2b set. The rest of the tour will have a special delight for his fellow Bass & Drummers when these two bangers consistently vibrate the entire stage.
Upcoming, the DJ and producer will be performing at the Bass Canyon Festival at Hilltop Stage. The drum and bass artist will leave his magic for the rest of his tour at hot spot raves like Deep Tropics, Dancefestopia, Imagine Music Festival, and more.
Enjoy the madness. Take as a fair warning…
