In the video, you can see clouds of smoke lifting from orange flames and firetrucks with their lights swirling. You can also see Claptone walking through a group of worried workers and attendees before hopping into his van before the clip ends.

Once he posted the video, he put text on the video and captioned it, saying: “I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THE LANDSCAPE AROUND ME ON FIRE WHEN I FINISHED MY SET YESTERDAY?? HOPE EVERYONE IS FINE ❤️‍?”

Fans shared their fears for the safety of the artist in his comment section, saying: “Hope everyone is ok that’s scary stuff,” “Europe IS burning these days !!? Lot of fires in France….Heat,no rain…and stupid peoples sometimes…,” and “That is shocking.”

The fire was at Barrakud, a rave and electronic music festival held in Zrće Beach Novalja on the island of Pag in Croatia.

The festival has the motto of #ravetheworld and attracts numerous travelers and Croatian natives. This past year’s lineup included healing acts from Dubfire, Ellen Allien, Oliver Heldens, Paul Kalkbrenner, Vintage Culture, and of course, Clapton.

It also featured sets and performances from Alan Fitzpatrick, Alex Ranerro, Antonio, Bertrand., Brtinzz, Chris Stussy, Cloone, Damir Hoffman, Dimmish, DJ Jock, Erik Gross, Farrago, Federico Guttadauro, FunFakt, Goodboys, James Hype, Kream, Kris J, La Fleur, Marco Faraone, Mateo Puntar, Salmo, Stella Bossi, Teo, Urban Pfeifer, and Vol2Cat.

It isn’t clear what or potentially who started the fire, but it seems as though everyone got out safely.
