Louis the Child Brings Their Inaugural Multi-Genre “Alter-Ego” Set to Brooklyn Mirage

Louis the Child will take over the Brooklyn Mirage with 10 different acts exploring a full range of dance music genres like never before.

The Chicago-bred duo, Louis the Child, whose 2020 album ‘Here for Now’ peaked on Billboard’s U.S. Dance / Electronic charts at #6, is bringing a multi-stage takeover at the iconic Brooklyn Mirage next weekend.

The lineup will bring unique and genre-defying sets to the stunning newly-renovated Brooklyn Mirage stage where the audience can hear their favorite artists exploring sounds they have never heard from them combined with hits that they have grown to love.

From Win and Woo, fans can expect a vibey “Golden Age” set inspired by 2008 – 2015 dance music that first made them fall in love with dance music. SNBRN’s set will be a nostalgic best of both worlds performance with rock throwbacks mixed with house music in addition to new remixes of his popular hits.

Chet Porter will be performing an ambient techno and progressive house “Tech Porter” set complete with time-coded visuals that promise to be nothing less than stunning on the massive and newly renovated Mirage screen. Pluko is bringing the disco side of things with disco classics, house remixes, and everything in between.

Shallou is doing it big with a live solo set, including live vocals, keys, and guitar that brings together new remixes of his biggest hits along with unreleased songs and covers. EVAN GIIA promises something a little more untraditional with a live vocal set that incorporates remixes of her songs and features she has done with other artists.

Last but not least, Louis the Child will be indulging the audience with two sets including their first ever throwback set and a multi-genre abstract Playground set. Alter-Ego is shaping up to be one of the most diverse event productions at the Mirage this summer where attendees get to experience their favorite artists pushing their musical boundaries and witness a full range of sounds, visuals, and emotions all in one night.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
